How can you get answer for your queries?
0, First of all, look around in the high-quality free sites, such as the RCSB PDB or the PDBsum. If you cannot find answer to your query there ....
1, Then contact us at research AT math-for-health.com with your query (change AT to @ in the address). Please describe your query, and do not forget to include the following information:
A; I need results from the whole PDB --- or I need results from proteins of species ... --- or I need results from (other constraints here)
B: I need results from all structures; or I need results only from X-ray crystallographically identified structures; or: I need results of resolution xxx Angstrom or better
C: I need the output as an MS Excel(TM) table, or an MS Access(TM) table, a mySQL(TM) database, or , or ; delimited-text, etc.
2, We review your query within two business days, and send you a quote. This quote contains
- Our fee of answering the query (this is usually between $999.00 and $2999.00),
- The time we need to answer your query,
- The cost of the optional service of keeping you updated on the results for 12 months by refreshing the query results for the newly added PDB items on a weekly frequency. If you accept this option, you will get an ftp password, and can return to our site for downloading your updated results for a whole year. The additional fee for this service is between $999.00 and $1999.00, depending on the complexity of your query.
- Your rights in publishing the results: You will be allowed to use the results as you wish if the results are special enough (e.g., the list of residues in the binding sites of a certain ligand or ligands). However, if you ask us to send you more general results, e.g., the list of all ligand binding sites of the whole PDB, we will require you not to re-publish the tables. Note, that you can still publish non-trivially derived or aggregated data from that tables.
- The amount of advance payment (our advance fee is $499.00).
3, If you accept our quote, and we received the advance payment, we start to process your query. We e-mail the result when it is available. Then you have 7 business days to settle the remaining amount.
4, Privacy: We will not give out either your identity or your query to anyone outside our staff, bounded by non-disclosure agreements. Please note that in payment processing, your identity will be known for financial institutes involved.
5, Non-encrypted e-mail can violate your privacy and your trade secrets. We suggest to use GnuPG (or for MS Windows: http://www.gpg4win.org/). Please use our GnuPG public key for encrypted messages, and also give us yours. If you choose to use non-encrypted e-mail in the communication with us, we will also accept that. Please note that we cannot guarantee that third parties would not intercept your messages while on the Internet, either encrypted or not.
6, Your satisfaction is guaranteed: If within 30 days after you sent us the advance payment, you are not completely satisfied with the quality of the results, we will return your advance and second payment in full, without asking any questions at all. In that case you are not allowed to use any data or information which you did not know earlier and have learnt from the query results received from us.
